We are excited to offer exotic animal veterinary care with Dr Snuffer at Hanging Rock Animal Hospital!
Dr. Caroline Snuffer has been practicing medicine (including exotics) since 2016, and is a member of the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV) organization. While in the veterinary program at Kansas State University, Dr Snuffer managed the Herpetarium (exotics used for educating the public as well as the vet students) and cared for many snakes, turtles, tarantulas and lizards while there! She was also a member & officer of the KSU Exotic Animal Medicine Club which provides hands on experience & opportunities with resources for learning for this specialized interest. During undergrad, she was a herpetology intern at Zoo Atlanta, helping with the Eastern Indigo Snake Conservation Project. Her continuing education of exotics includes the herpetology course at the Southwestern Research Station in Arizona.
Her very first pet was an albino cornsnake named Stella, and reptiles and hedgehogs are her favorite. She’s had many exotic pets over the years, including snakes, lizards, tarantulas and hedgehogs, and currently shares her home with her husband and children, as well as 2 dogs, 3 cats, 4 goats, one crested gecko, one turkey, many chickens and 2 Madagascar hissing cockroaches!!
